These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of NPC Builder (“the Service”), operated by NPC Builder (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.
NPC Builder is a web-based tool for tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) game masters. It lets you create and manage non-player characters (NPCs), organise them into factions, track locations, visualise relationships, and — on paid tiers — generate content with AI assistance.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@npcwiz.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By registering you confirm that you meet this requirement.
The Service is offered on three tiers:
Feature availability may change over time. We will give reasonable notice of any reduction in features on a tier you are actively subscribed to.
Paid subscriptions are processed via Stripe. You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel. All prices are shown inclusive of any applicable tax unless stated otherwise.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Account page. Access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period; no partial-month refunds are issued.
We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
You retain ownership of all content you create in the Service — NPCs, factions, locations, backstories, secrets, and uploaded images. By using the Service you grant us a limited licence to store and display that content solely to operate the Service for you.
We do not sell your content to third parties. We do not use your NPC data to train AI models.
Pro subscribers can use our AI generation feature (powered by Anthropic's Claude). AI-generated text is provided as a creative starting point and may contain inaccuracies or unexpected content. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI output before use. AI-generated content is subject to Anthropic's usage policies.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be communicated where possible. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice.
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
You may delete your account at any time from your Account page. Upon deletion, your data is removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records).
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you materially breach these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice in the app. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
